Lelia Jenkins

As I age, I experience more physical and emotional changes that effect my functioning in life. Tremors in my hands become more intense over time effecting the way I work with clay. The art I create is a way of me embracing those experiences as an artist and a human. My work consists of vessels made for plants that’s surface is decorated in geometric shapes and loose outlines. The plants and vessels are physical manifestations of my relationship to reflection, care, and growth.
